I recently went through a lengthy and ultimately disappointing interview process for the Lead Robotics Engineer position at GE Aerospace. The process stretched over four months and included multiple stages, beginning with a video interview. During this interview, I was asked technical questions such as the importance of TCP (Tool Center Point), KUKA robot HMI (Human-Machine Interface) related queries, the concept of collaborative robots, and specifications of various lenses used in machine vision applications. Following this, I took the ITEP Advanced C1 English test, and then I participated in a technical interview. Despite the extensive and time-consuming process, I did not receive any communication from GE Aerospace for four months after the initial interview. After I reached out to inquire about the status, I received a generic rejection email a month later, without any explanation or feedback. Given this experience, I strongly advise against waiting for the conclusion of such a drawn-out process. Even if all the interview stages seem to go well, I recommend continuing to apply for other opportunities in parallel. It's important to keep your options open and not rely solely on this company's process.
