Applied TWICE within three months with a pretty qualified background. The position was open the entire time.
Never heard back.
Reached out several times to their info@ AND jobs@ addresses to understand what was going on.
Also didn't hear back from there.
I'm passionate about their mission, but this situation put me off to ever want to work there. It's general decency to at least let your candidates know that you don't want to consider their application. Recruiting is a first contact not only with candidates, but also customers and investors (which I am). If you cannot run recruiting respectfully, it tells candidates something about how you may treat your employees as well.
Disappointing.
