Our interviewers often probe to understand the conceptual depth, problem solving skills and attitude. We make sure a qualified person takes the interview, and it can happen that a junior person takes the interview of a senior person. Additionally, we hire for Fractal first and then for a specific role. In this context, it is very common for interviewers to check suitability for a broad range of roles. In the process of doing this type of interview, it looks like the interviewer conveyed the incorrect impression of trying to eliminate your candidature.
