Phone call, face to face. Then an offer. It wasn't a complex interview. It was everything you would normally see with typical questions. The individuals were nice though and I was communicated with through the entire process.

Question 1
Tell me about a time...and what was the result? Typical questions on the phone. The face to face was a tour of the campus.

Interviewed with SM and RM, in an office. Numerous questions were asked by the both of them regarding my understanding of inventory management (buyback shipments, store stock shipments, receiving, chargebacks), QTC setting, my understanding of certain reports. There were questions about how I would interact with instructors who might be upset over a wrong edition being brought in or a book being out of stock, building relationships on campus. Overall the process was standard, I found out about a week later. I was an internal candidate, however, the process for external candidates is likely more in depth and takes longer -- including background checks and drug tests.

If you were presented with a new ISBN that was never used at your campus, how was you determine the QTC?

Consisted of 2 phone interviews with two different people. The next step was to make and present a powerpoint to panel of 3 people and be interviewed by them. It was heartbreaking to go through all of that and not get the job, but everything is a learning experience. I have never had a panel interview before this, and now I have gained that experience. Everyone was nice, and a phone call was given along with feedback, even though I was not selected. I would love to bash the company for putting through all of that, but like I stated, everything is a learning experience and it can only help me the next time around. Good luck to you others!
