I had worked for Flowserve for 10 years prior and was a perfect fit for the position they were hiring for. I was asked to interview for the position. I had several phone calls with the hiring manager, and HR Recruiter. I seemed to get along fairly well with all of them. I ended up getting a draft of an offer letter on a Friday night, and they said I’d have the finalize offer letter once they added some verbiage about my previous years counting towards something. Then I was ghosted. I tried messaging the recruiters, managers, and even some friends I still had at Flowserve. No one would respond. Finally someone called on Wednesday saying that they had rescinded the offer and weren’t going to divulge why. I have suspicions that someone put something nasty about me in an HR folder someplace for some reason. I was a hardworking and loyal employee to Flowserve and I feel it is EXTREMELY unprofessional to do that to someone.
