Arrived at CAE at the DFW Airport in a group of 7 candidates. The day started with a presentation about the company, then we were brought in groups of two to the full-motion Lear 45 sim. Did a normal takeoff and climb to 3000 feet, then vectored for an ILS to landing. That was followed by a V1 cut to wrap up the sim eval. The whole thing lasted about 15 minutes. It had to be hand flown, but with the help (or hinderance) of the flight director. The guys running the sim were not too familiar with the Lear 45, so couldn't quite get the vertical guidance right. So the flight director was valid for heading, but not pitch... pretty distracting. The sim eval was followed by an HR-type interview with a couple pilots. Standard TMAAT questions.

Great interview process fo used identifying individuals with drive and focus that will promulgate the company culture. The interview is laidback but professional. Act and dress professionally and you’ll get an offer

The initial interview was a great experience. A discussion to really get to know the company. Do your prep and understand what the company is all about. This will help you to have a conversation instead of a Q&A.
