It started with a 45-minute interview instead of a phone screen which was actually refreshing and see them get to my deeper qualifications for the role. I was moved on to the project portion of the process and spent quite some time and thought on it. It was a pretty generic project; asking for you to share different project approaches, which approach you chose and why, and your overall project plan. I thought I did quite well pulling it together. However, the following week I received a generic rejection email, not even referencing the title of the role. No feedback was provided so I cannot learn from the experience and understand where I missed the mark. That is a very disappointing experience. Flatiron should at the very least send a few sentences with feedback and why a candidate is rejected if they work on a couple hours-long project. Overall might be for the best as the role did not seem truly Product Ops aligned.
