I completed eight interviews for a Finance position, meeting with everyone from HR to directors, VPs, and the CFO. The conversations themselves were productive, and I learned a lot about the company. However, after weeks of interviews and significant preparation, I received no final update — not even a courtesy message to confirm the role had been filled. Follow-up emails also went unanswered. Ghosting a candidate after this level of commitment and engagement is not reflective of a respectful hiring process. I hope the company improves its communication practices, especially when candidates invest substantial time meeting with upper management.
