I was interviewed on the phone three times over the course of the week and given a lowball offer. None of the interviewers asked me any questions about my experience or past employment. Instead the time was spent polishing the company's unethical practices (selling private information to for-profit colleges) (preying on elderly). All three interviews had conflicting and different descriptions and job titles. The only question I was asked was about my salary requirements. I was put off by the desperate nature and unclarity of the interview. I was silent through most of the process and was given a lowball offer, 40% under median salary in the area and 20% under my asking price. I asked for more compensation and was told they went with another candidate based on my level of detail in a particular email, with a rather unpleasant and insulting tone.
