Interview Pathetic interview process like everyone has mentioned. Overall interview experience? Picture Saddam on trial without the lynching. Don't waste your time unless you don't mind being chastised, patronised, and ridiculed (subliminally). Level of scrutiny and patronisation is borderline Alf Garnett offensive, I'm ashamed I didn't walk! 3 round interview process/tests. Initially, basic telephone screening (2 calls, 1 with HR, then manager) 1st round, face to face with Line Manager. - Fortunately, the contact turned out to be very very nice and 'warm' considering majority of the middle management in the London office have been there for forever! Overall positive experience at this point, nothing too heavy pretty much a continuation of the phone interview, informal and laid-back, no drilling, left intact. 2nd round Interview with Department Manager - Industry standard, as anticipated I knew this was going to be rough, some can sometimes be a walk in the park or a complete nightmare. That being said, I could not imagine working with such a nepotistic snooty racist like the one that ‘examined’ me. Like a sketch straight from Little Britain, this particular redefined the meaning 'company ambassador'. - Simply put, a lifeless, inadequate, sociopath that was hell bent on making ones life unnecessarily difficult ( and not in the 'tactical sense'). Interviews (ideally) should be two way but this was not the case, surprised waterboarding was left out! *On that note, somehow one comes to 'know' about the 'substance' of the personnel in the London HQ considering the field this company operates in. In all honesty, no surprises, but this was particularly rough. To reiterate, I am so ashamed I did not walk having being debased in that fashion. Very disrespectful and is indicative of the BDSM master-servant subculture there, certainly not for all. - For some reason interviewer was hell bent on undermining me both professionally and personally in every conceivable way. Undeniably a staunch racist (albeit 'prejudice') there is one valuable lesson to be had from such an experience, particularly from the fact that this particular is of Asian design. - *Institutional Racism and gender discrimination is endemic and rife! Comes in many different shades and forms. It's a well evolving subliminal beast expressed on every level, seen and unseen that needs to be properly addressed more than ever. Disgusting experience, really really negative, no impartiality or insight displayed but pure racist sexual bias nepotism and certain no positives to be taken from this. Archaic business model that 'works', low churn cos old-boys rule the roost. My guess is that particular types (of similar disposition and ego) are drawn there. For grads, young, genuinely ambitious, or the creative ones, look elsewhere. CAN NOT POSSIBLY be the long-term solution unless your one of these rare chauvinistic trader/broker/banker caricatures, preferably blue-blooded, manor born, bit of field experience, then perhaps have some clout. Ladies, don't bother, whiff of Weinstein there, comes with the territory. All things being subjective, poor experience personally, but perhaps a nivana for some.. My honest opinion? Bring a bucket, cos you’ll need it at some point for sure. Foul 3/10

Thank you for your feedback on your interview at Fidessa, we are taking this feedback seriously and would like to arrange some time to speak to you over the concerns raised. We haven’t had a Business Analyst role in our London office recently, the last BA vacancy we had was filled was in August - it would be good to understand which position you were interviewed for in November. I will continue to investigate your feedback and ask that you contact me on my e-mail: kevin.keegan@fidessa.com or on 01483 206 466 to discuss this further. Many thanks, Kevin Kevin Keegan Recruitment Manager
