The hiring manager drove the whole process, no recruiter or HR involved (which was new to me). They moved quickly until the last stage of the process (did phone screen, met with team, stakeholders, HR rep ). I felt very positive and was told by 1 stakeholder I was their top choice and by the hiring manager that I would hear back on next steps. HR rep also mentioned that I would hear back. Never did, they ghosted me 3 weeks ago inspite of follow up with HR and manager. Quite disappointed at the experience, I would prefer a straight no.
