I applied online and received an automated confirmation email, including a link to a pre-screening questionnaire to be completed before the next stage. The questionnaire included a few general questions, including one which involved researching and responding to a customer inquiry. It took approx. 20/30 minutes. The following afternoon, I received an invitation for a first interview/HR screening. The interview was relaxed. The interviewer was informal, warm and bubbly, and generally gave the impression that the chat was going well. A week later, I received an email saying I would not be invited forward for the next round of interviews. I was surprised, given that my experience, professionally and personally, aligned quite well with the company and the role, but more surprised at how impersonal the rejection email was. Even rejection emails I've received prior to the interview stage have been more personal. No feedback was provided, not even an "other candidates were more suitable for the position." The email did encourage me to apply for future openings, however, which did seem conflicting to me, when no indication was made as to why I was not being considered for this role. Given the lack of feedback, I responded, thanking Feather for their time and politely asking for some feedback, if it is their policy to provide it. I did not receive a response.
