It was simple, only a couple of minutes over the phone and a couple of hours ride along. They only asked me a couple of questions over the phone, then we scheduled the in person interview/ride along immediately. The in person interview/ride along seems to be more about training you on how to use their system while evaluating how you communicate with customers and businesses. You will have to purchase a copy of your driving record (they'll e-mail you the info needed to do that since it varies by location) to send them a photo of along with a photo of your DL and vehicle insurance for their records. The ride along is not paid because it is still a part of the interview process. It was a 5 day process for me, but that's only because I had prior obligations so I couldn't make the second part any earlier. It could've just as easily been a day (or less) process from the time I submitted my application to being accepted as a runner.

Application was done through the Runner app, it was easy enough, most question were just about basic qualifications. Asked about Mr previous experience handling time sensitive deliveries and customer satisfaction.
