I was being interviewed for a graphic designer position at a Washington DC fast signs. The interview was on the phone and it was going ok with the employer asking questions relating to the position, but then they asked me how much would I like to get paid and I told them my asking salary. They said I would get the job, and then on what was supposed to my first day on the job, I got a voicemail from them telling me I didn’t get the job and that they gave it to someone else.

It was simple and alright. Interviewers were going through a company shift and it was noticeable able with how they spoke. I was enthusiastic about it potentially being a first job, but they didn't seem enthusiastic to have to be hiring someone new. Makes sense given the person they were replacing had been there for a number of years. Just not a great feeling.

Easy
They dont offer benefits. Not formal. Asked about experience and expectations. Nice and laid back. No testing needed. Pay is low for the area and parking minimal. Small office, and I suspect low paying jobs.
