Behavior-based panel interview. "Tell us about a time you_________" As usual for this type of interview, the more specific your answer is, the better. Come prepared with at least 6 different "glory stories" you can use to show your competence in areas like customer service, process improvement, teamwork, etc... For external hires a recruiter phone screen and personality test start the process, moving to the panel interview. If they ask you to job shadow someone after the interview that's a good sign. Even though this employer is relaxed-dress, DO wear full business professional attire for the interview. Watch for questions designed to suss out how much of a pain you might be to work with. Negative comments about prior/current work teams should be spun very carefully and only if you can use it to show how you made things better.

Online application followed by an online test, testing for basic math and verbal skills. Once my application and test was reviewed, I had a phone interview with behavioral based questions. After the phone interview was another round of testing. This included a multitasking test and some more math testing. Next is a panel interview in your location.

Filled out online application then received an email within 2 days to proceed with an assessment. After passing the assessment, I received an email to schedule a phone interview. The phone interview lasted about 30 minutes with a recruiter, after which I was immediately told I was going to move forward to the first in-person interview. I interviewed with a panel of 3 State Farm property managers. The interview lasted about 2 hours, and it was was fairly intense. The questions were pre-determined, and the interviewers furiously took notes during each response. They are truly looking for strong, detailed answers to very specific questions. They appeared to truly like my personality and work experience. I received a phone call within 1 week to proceed to the second in-person interview with - yes, another panel. This time I met with a panel of 3 people who were there to assess more about me and my personality. The questions were more about how I would react or respond to different situations rather than being about my work history. This interview was much more relaxed, and the panel seemed to really like me and my responses. It lasted about 1 hour. I felt confident after my interview, but unfortunately a few days later I received an email saying they went another way. If I were to proceed, I learned that there would in fact be a ride-along and a THIRD panel interview. (wow!)
