Received an invitation to the screening interview within a week. First interview is with a technical recruiter. Introduction to the company and emphasis on the great company culture. Then questions about current situation, motivation for joining, and relevant technical experience. It was immediately clear that the recruiter had little to no understanding about the technical side of the role. Received very superficial technical questions of a type "do you know what is deep learning?". The recruiter looked very confused. At the end I asked a few questions about the company and challenges, and the recruiter probably misunderstood some questions and got really offended. At the end was told that they will not proceed with my application.
