This involved two interviews. The first was live debugging with two engineers. The second and final interview was talking more about my experience and hypothetical situations with an engineer who would be a more senior engineer and an admin (who mostly took notes). I think the interviews were about two weeks apart. I felt people were friendly and the interviews were comfortable. Even though I made through the final interview, I never heard back from them. I even messaged them about three weeks after my last interview, to ask if there was any update (though by that time it was clear they weren't hiring me), and still got no response. That was very disappointing from an org I highly respected.

I had an unusual hiring process. I was originally brought on as a contractor and was able to prove myself on an actual project. After about a month, they made me a permanent offer. I didn't really go through the interview process. I think this used to be more common at Exygy, but isn't any more.
