You sit in a room with the Operations Manager, who asks the standard interview questions (goals, availability, background) followed by a few EMT questions. An offer is made at that time if you are hired.

Question 1
They ask about long term goals in EMS, how long you intend to be an EMT, an example of handing a tough situation, ask how you would handle a difficult patient, and availability. As far as skills, you need to name stroke symptoms (BEFAST), know what is considered a low glucose level, and ask when you would call ALS, contraindications for NTG, and the five rights.
