Applied online, 22 days later was emailed a link to answer pre-recorded video questions using an app, 18 days later I got an email from someone in Singapore with a schedule/list of five interviews (two via Bluejeans (kind of like Skype) and three in Brisbane in person). The Skype interviews were good. I showed up at the address in Brisbane and there was no one there - I called a number on the door. That person texted me back saying they were sick and gave me a different number to call. Someone let me in. I only knew the name of the HR person from the original ad on linkedin and the pre-recorded video - we'd never spoken. I said I was not sure if this person was going to host me or not. Instead I was taken to a room and my first interviewer showed up. We did three back to back interviews (an hour each) and everyone was also great. It was Friday so we even grabbed a snack from the spread they'd put out. I asked the team there what next steps might be like and they said they expected someone to be in touch within a week. 30 days went by and finally I messaged via LinkedIn to inquire. They original HR person called me back via an unlisted number to discuss the outcome. I wanted to post this here because it's was a strange interview process in comparison to others I've witnessed. It was impersonal and disorienting to not have a singular contact in HR to talk to and even though being considered for an important role - to not have any phone conversations or follow up. It made me appreciate singular HR contacts I've dealt with in other orgs and reminded me to be ensure the hiring process is respectful in orgs I work with in the future.
