The interview with an executive in customer success felt flat and low energy from start to finish. It lacked engagement and came across as more of a checklist than a real conversation. Frankly, I was a little stunned that the person at this level was at this level. When they have to read the questions verbatim from their laptop and can't hold a conversation...frankly, I just didn't get it.
The questions were very canned, with no follow-up or deeper exploration of my experience. Overall, it felt transactional and uninteresting, with little effort to build connection or momentum.

Many of the folks at this software firm are attorneys. So they run their interviews as If they are billable hours. Not a pleasant expedience. Not a lot of room or time to ask questions I had. There was no “Welcome! We’re glad you’re here.”
It was just about the coldest set interviews I’ve ever had.
