There is a phone call, answer some questions then a fitness manager calls to set up an in person interview at a club. Then i got another phone interview email....but already did that. Get it together Equinox! So a few days later you get an email to invite you for a group interview at another club. The Group interview had about 17 candidates with about 10 managers present. There are several scenarios including a case study on how you would as a team program a client based on an assessment, your group has 10 mins to write the program. You have to be able to speak to a large group, to 27 people in all....to justify your programming. I felt that this was inappropriate, due to the fact you have to speak to a large group....which is not what personal training is about...its one on one with a client. A candidate can fail in final, group part of the interview process, if you are not comfortable speakin in front of a large group! i am not a good public speaker and most likely lost this opportunity as a result and i have several years of personal training experience! No big loss, they only pay minimum wage, require you to be avail from open to close until you build your business. I moved on to a much better opportunity with a different company.

Question 1
Its your first day on the job, you are on the gym floor. What strategies will you use to gain training clients?
Virtual and in-person interviews; virtual interview was not too bad it was a recorded interview with situational questions and multiple choice while the in-person interview was mostly a vibe check and seeing how you would take on new clients.

I had a very positive phone interview experience with Equinox. The interviewer was professional, welcoming, and respectful of my time. They asked clear, thoughtful questions about my background and gave a great overview of the role, team expectations, and the company culture. The conversation felt organized and informative, and I appreciated how transparent they were about next steps in the process. Overall, it was a smooth and pleasant interview experience that reflected well on the company.
Super easy, had a round with a recruiter and then met with the manager. They were very transparent about pay and work required. I see a lot of negative reviews about pay, but at least from my experience the whole pay scale was clearly communicated and lined out.
