Round 1 : Aptitude Test
An hour long usual aptitude test. The questions were almost easy and I did quite well.
Round 2 : Coding Test
Two questions - Easy to Moderate level. But only 4 languages - C, C++, C# and Java. I solved both.
Based on these 2 rounds they shortlisted around 50 from a pool of around 200.
Round 3 : Tech / Domain Test
Two presentations - one related to the technical domain and the other on financial domain, followed by a test based on these presenatations. It consisted of 15 questions from each section and was pretty easy. No prior knowledge is required here. They basically look for listening skills here.
Round 4 : Behavioral Test
It is not a filtering round. Just select your traits from the given list and you're good to go.
At this point, they shortlisted 12.
Interview - Tech & HR
Tech Interview
Two panelists and me.
They first introduced them. I handed over my resume to one of them. He was going through it. In the mean time, the other person asked me to introduce myself. Then he said they were quite impressed by my solution in the coding round. The other one then found my rank in TCS Codevita from my resume and said it's not surprise that you solved both coding questions. He also added that they don't want to take the interview to the technical level as they were already impressed.
They asked me my favourite programming language which was python and then why such an interest for python. Then we had a small discussion on python. Then about my projects. There were 2-3 web based projects and I briefed about them. They were more interested in the database part. Then we talked about database optimization and some basic stuff.
Finished the interview and I was waiting for my HR round.
HR Interview
Two panelists and me.
Handed over my resume to one of them. They found from my resume that python is my favourite language and the projects mentioned were not in python. They were curious to know about my python projects. We talked about my python projects which I didn't mention in my resume.
It was a nice session with them discussing on myself, the company and its domain of operation, a handful of general HR questions, casual talks and many more.
Then we discussed about my final year project related to Malayalam Natural Language Processing. They had a pleasant face throughout the session.
It was a nice experience :)
