J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Encore Global (Saint Paul, MN) en oct. 2016
Entretien
I first had to do an automated 'skype' interview, where I would be asked questions by the computer and I'd have to respond on video. I don't know how much they actually did with this preliminary interview, it seems like HR just wanted to make sure I wasn't completely braindead because neither the interview or my answers were referenced in the in-person interview. I got a call a few days later asking to schedule an interview.
The actual interview was standard, asking me about my experience with AV equipment as well as situational questions about customer service. There was, however, a major red flag in that after all the main questions about my qualifications and personality, they asked me if I would be willing to take a part-time position knowing that I applied for the full-time position. I answered politely "I would much prefer the full-time position." Part-time wouldn't be such an issue if they hadn't asked for full-schedule availability on days, night and weekends. This means I could only work 20-25 hours (or less) but would likely be unable to hold another job due to the time demands. They responded, saying that part-timers get 'promoted' to full-time positions usually within a year or two as full-time positions open up. This told me that they never intended to hire me for the full-time position, as their hiring practice appeared to be to hire a fleet of part-timers who could fill in the holes, and then promote them to full-timers later as an incentive. I found this dishonest and they should have mentioned on the application that full-time AV tech openings are for internal candidates only.
A week later I get a PART-TIME offer for $13/hr (substantially below market). I retorted with a request for $15/hr given my two years of experience, to which they counter-offered $14. I accepted. A few hours later they called me to rescind their offer saying that they got 'push-back' from the boss and that they could only offer me $13.50. Who rescinds an offer after it's already made?!? Signs of disorganization, dishonesty and lack of respect for employees were rampant during the whole interview process. I'm glad I declined it.

Question 1
What experience do you have with video? Specifically switchers, screens or monitors?
Video interview, followed by in person interview. Considered me for two different jobs and offered the junior. Contacted by two HR reps. These two did not coordinate until I said something.

The process was extremely seamless. Started with 2 virtual interviews that I could complete at my leisure. And the hiring managers are very responsive and update you regularly. The inperson interviews were scheduled shortly after the holidays.

First I did an interview over the internet. It was automated, I read questions and then recorded my answers with the webcam. I was then contacted to come in and do an in person interview. The interviewer was nice and it felt smooth an unpressured.
