I Interviewed at Criterion a few months back. I must say that everyone I met there seemed friendly, talented and I really enjoyed talking to them. It really did seem like a great place to work. The questions were thoughtful and the senior team had some relevant questions that I stumbled on, but they did not linger on my failures.
I left a negative for the specific reason that despite taking time off to visit the studio personally and having received a follow-up call from the recruiter to inform me that I am a top candidate and that I should have a decision in 2 weeks, I was completely ghosted after this.
I want you to know that it is OK to let candidates who took some effort in their application know that they did not make the cut. It happens! You will have several good candidates, and I am not at all bitter about losing out to a better candidate, but you know, it wouldn't take much time to send out a template email? :)
