Overall process took about 45 days. The first step was a recording a 15 minute video of myself answer questions that appeared on the screen. I was then told that I was selected to move on to the next step ~30 days later.
The recruiter was not very responsive to emails and I was then told by someone else in the group to provide a time and date for an interview. I appreciated that but would have preferred a phone screen with someone first (as is the norm) so that I may ask any questions I had. When I finally was able to speak to the recruiter who initially contacted me, the conversation did not go well. They could not answer the questions I had - which were general in nature - and when I asked about the compensation, I was given a range of 26k between the low end and high end. That's not a range, that's two different roles.
Then they had the audacity to ask why I was looking to leave my current employment if my salary was at the high end of what they were willing to pay. I said "well I didn't know that until now..." and proceeded to provide my reasons for leaving. What recruiter would ask a candidate this question? It's unprofessional.
