Had a phone call with the VP and then called for an onsite day. They were generally friendly and I had lunch with their group. I answered all of their questions (leetcode, statistics, no brainteasers) and then was told a few weeks later that I didn't have the skills they wanted, even though I had industry experience at similar firms. The people were qualified but not really extraordinary, and had all been there a long time. They appear to post jobs for years and just interview lots of people without hiring anyone.

The let me use 20 mins to describle my Research field over the skype. We can prepare slides or use whiteboard. Then they take three week for the decision.

Entretien
About an hour of Skype call with a VP. 15~20 minutes of presentation highlighting scientific research, then follow-up questions / conversations. I managed to make the VP understand the main points of the research. The presentation went not bad. The problem is, I haven't heard back from anyone after the Skype call. I waited for over half a month, and then explicitly asked the person I Skype'd for an update / news. NOTHING. Probably they send out a lot of ads, leading to hundreds of Skype interviews each month? Fine. I may not have been the person they wanted. But responding to each applicant with email message should take under a minute. Very disappointing.
