Extremely unprofessional! I applied online and was emailed by a recruiter to set up an interview, after the phone screen I had a zoom interview with the hiring manager, the interview seemed positive and I was told that I would find out the following week. Once the week was about to pass I followed up. I was told the manager was traveling and that I would know as soon as possible. After two more weeks I received an email saying it was given to an internal candidate which honestly if you are considering promoting internal advertise internally it’s a waste of everyone’s time. Once I was informed of that I was told there are more positions opening up for the same role and asked if I would want to be considered. Of course since this current job market is what it is I said ok . So I waited past the holidays heard nothing but I reached out to the recruiter who told me I would be great for the role that opened up and that she would pass on my information. I woke up to a no reply rejection email. Look rejection emails come all the time it’s really hard to get job right now and that isn’t any one employers fault but 1 don’t advertise a role of you are only hiring within it’s not right making anyone else think they have a shot . 2 don’t provide a vague response time window post interview and not get back to a candidate. 3 don’t dangle a carrot or maybe a chance at another interview it’s awful when you drag someone around for two months.. and then you send an auto reject and there is absolutely no feedback or reason for not getting ANOTHER interview. Overall worst candidate experience I’ve had.. could you imagine how employees are treated?

Entretien
I had a very positive experience interviewing with Edelman Financial Engines. The process consisted of three stages: an initial conversation with a recruiter, followed by interviews with the hiring manager and a financial planner.
Each stage was well-organized, professional, and communicated clearly. The recruiter was responsive and helpful in setting expectations, and both the hiring manager and planner created a welcoming environment while still asking thoughtful, relevant questions.
Overall, the process felt thorough but efficient, and I appreciated the transparency throughout. It gave me a strong sense of the company culture and what the role would entail.
