I had a phone interview with HR, when I asked about the exp and salary range of the position (not written on the job ad), HR was very certain that they are very flexible and looking at my CV she thinks we can discuss the offer package. 2 weeks later, I got a rejection email saying they think I have too much experience and they can't afford me. I felt we were both wasting time, the exp info was not mentioned on the job ad, HR probably didn't communicate with the hiring manager reg and gave wrong info. Plus it took too long to receive feedback after the phone call.
