The process began with an initial interview involving a panel of staff members. It was a standard Q&A session and felt fairly positive overall. A couple of days later, I was invited to a second-round interview, which required preparing a detailed presentation with less than 48 hours’ notice. While I was happy to engage with the process and did so thoroughly, the short turnaround made it feel rushed and unnecessarily stressful.
The second interview went well from my perspective, and I felt the panel responded positively. However, the structure of the role had changed since the first round, it was initially described as having one direct report, but that support had been removed due to "funding." This was not communicated in advance and I felt the change undermined the clarity and stability of the role.
Following the second interview, I received no further communication at all. I sent a polite follow-up email after two weeks, and then again after four weeks to close the loop. Neither message received a reply.
