Applied online. Initial screening call. Wanted to connect me with hiring manager right away and that she may even want to connect with me before my in-person interview. Asked my Salary expectations. Only top one or two candidates were being asked to interview. Emailed me to schedule on-site interview. Drove 3 1/2 hours for interview. 1 hour interview. I was then told they were doing interviews all week, and I would hear the following week. Asked about benefits and was told the HR person who was in my interview would be connecting with me. Told the feedback was very positive. Sent thank you email and was then told they were interviewing internal candidates. Waited a week and sent follow-up email. Got no response. Felt like I was led on. The professional thing would have been to respond one way or another. Don’t lead people on and then leave them hanging with no explanation.
