After clearing all interview rounds, the company phoned me themselves and offered the role with a salary of XX, asking for my confirmation. I simply shared my expected salary—nothing unreasonable, just what matched my experience. The moment I mentioned my expectation, the entire tone of the process changed. Suddenly, they added an “assessment” out of nowhere, something that should have been part of the earlier rounds. It was painfully obvious that this was only introduced because I didn’t blindly accept the salary they mentioned. Still, I completed the assessment on time. And then? Four days of silence before scheduling a call. I work night shifts but still woke up early expecting a fair conversation—only to be informed that my profile was rejected. All of this could have been communicated with a simple message instead of dragging me through a pointless call and wasting my time. The lack of basic courtesy, transparency, and professionalism was shocking. If a company cannot match a candidate’s salary expectations, they should be upfront. Instead, they chose to stretch the process, delay communication, and play around with unnecessary steps just to avoid saying a straightforward “no.” This entire experience clearly reflects the company’s attitude, work culture, and lack of respect for people’s time. If this is how they treat potential employees, one can only imagine how they treat actual employees.
