J'ai postulé en personne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dutch Bros. (Wenatchee, WA) en juin 2018

      Entretien

I applied by bringing an application to one of the Dutch Bros stands in my community (there are three). I got a text a couple weeks later, notifying me that I was invited to a group interview. At the group interview, there were around 20/25 people and it was a super relaxed environment. We played games, got free drinks, and shares stories. There were three managers present so our group was split into three and designated a manager. At these little stations we were asked questions in a circle like “how do you handle stress in a group situation”, “if you could go anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?”, “what do you do with your free time?”, and “what is your favorite food?”. After each station we, as a group, rotated to a different manager and were asked a different set of similar questions. At the end we all kind of got in a huddle and one of the managers explained the hiring process and that if we didn’t get a call or text back, it didn’t mean we wouldn’t be good at the job, it meant they didn’t have a spot open for us at the moment and we could feel free to apply again. We were told within 48 hours we would get a text saying whether we were moving on in the hiring process or not. I got a text like 30 hours after the group interview saying that they would like me to take the menu quiz (the first step in the three-step hiring process). To do this, I had to go to one of the stands and request a copy of the DB menu and study it for for a couple of days and then about three days after I picked it up, those of us that got the opportunity to take the quiz went to one of the stands (there were about 10 people from the group interview there). I passed my test (getting one question wrong) and got to go to the second step which is the Dutch Manifesto. The Dutch Manifesto is a packet of recipes and information about DB that I had to study and in a week I was to test on it. I did well on this test too (missing 7 out of 100+) and was told that I was hired and would need to complete the 3rd step-training). It was a 5-day training where we learned (in-stand) about machines and practiced pulling shots, frothing milk, making blended drinks, etc). This was paid training. Then at the end of the training we were told which of the three stands in the valley we would be working at and that we would next week begin training in our stand as an extra employee and we would be training in the 5 positions (window, runner, shots, milk, and pit) (3 shifts for each position) (2 shifts a day). So, for example monday was two window shifts, tuesday was one window shift then one runner shift, wednesday was two runner shifts, thursday was two shot shifts, friday was one shot shift then one milk shift, saturday was two milk shifts. After this last paid training, we were finally fully trained employees and could start being fit into the schedule.

Super relaxed and nice people. Definitely come with a great personality and open mindset. Prepare to come with experiences from previous jobs to speak to. Not very intimidating if you bring the right energy and mindset.

      Entretien

There was a first round interview with multiple candidates and four interviewers, and a final round with the Operator at our stand. The first interview can be tricky since there are many candidates. Ultimately, they look for people who are very genuine and kind.

The interview is a fairly relaxed process. You should dress appropriately, but definitely okay to dress on the more casual side. Most of the questions are based on your personality.
