Typical PhD interview process. We were brought to Durham for the day and interviewed with several research groups. If chosen then we were offered admission provided that we would work with a group that made the offer.

Question 1
There weren't many questions, and all were in reference to specific things I had done in the past.
There was only one informal and in-person meeting, which was not really an interview. I was asked whether I was interested in becoming a Research Assistant given the details of the project.

Entretien
It is good. The interviewers are from University so that they are very nice and provide insightful guidance. The questions are very academic, both creative open questions and questions about the basic term explanations.

Question 1
What do you think is a good way to design a metric to evaluate the performance of the Summarization LLM?
The interview process was pretty easy. It seemed like more of a backwards interview, where they were trying to convince you to come to duke more-so than figuring out whether or not you should be there. This was an interview in the ECE department, so I'm not sure if every other department works the same way.
