Interviewed 2-03-2016 in Cambridge, Massachusetts for a position as a "Principal Imaging Development Engineer". The hiring process at Draper Laboratory was planned as a 1-day event, but included a 40 minute technical presentation to judge my expertise.
Had 30 minute interviews with an HR contact and with the technical manager, who was too busy to attend my actual presentation. Only three engineers attended my presentation, two of whom were replacements from the preliminary interview list. All stated they were too busy for personal interviews. For that reason I was not able to get satisfactory feedback as to what skills and projects Draper Laboratory was actually looking for someone to help with. I was not offered a laboratory tour. This entire interview lasted less than 3 hours.
Received a rejection from the technical manager by phone about 1 week after the interview.
Determined from the HR contact 2 months after the interview that this position was still not filled.
Determined from the technical manager 3 months after the interview that this position was never ever filled, but that the requisition was to be officially cancelled.
