had an initial call then a panel interview and had to do a sourcing session - they asked behavioral questions too. There was about 5 people on the panel and it was 3-4 hours talking with them.

1 panel interview with 4 employees that lasted about 1 hour. This round was super chill and we often went off topic because we got along so well.

Entretien
It began with a red flag, when two weeks went by between the recruiting and I making contact and the recruiter scheduling a call with me. The recruiter had to reschedule said call twice.
I moved onto two 45-minute interviews with leaders on the team. We went over my experience, metrics, tech stack, org structure, workload, diversity and social responsibilities. The interviewers had different tones and styles of communication, so it was great to see the range of team members. I wasn't too sold on their answers to questions about DoorDash's DEIB efforts.
I followed up with the recruiter after the call because I had some offers coming in and wanted to see if we could expedite next steps. Doordash is a great opportunity to grow and impact an emerging industry, so I didn't want to make a decision before seeing their interview process through. The recruiter responded that we could jump on a call to discuss, but never called. The recruiter followed up the next Monday, again offering to jump on a call. I told the recruiter I was wide open. Again, no call. The recruiter reached out the next day to offer to call again.
I withdrew before moving forward. My offers were expiring, and the lack of follow-up gave me the feeling that perhaps they were not interested in my candidacy, unfortunately. I'll never know if that's true or not, but that's how I'll remember the experience. Not a great association.
