Introductory phone screen, followed by an person interview with a mock sales call, and then reference check (requiring 4 business references for an introductory sales position was rather excessive). Overall decent experience despite not receiving an offer, but the recruiter and sales development managers didn't know basic numbers and balked simple questions about company strategy. Deflected when I asked for their turnover rates and percent of reps not making on target earnings,couldn't answer basic questions such as how much the stock options they touted were presently valued at. I still dont understand why a unicorn startup with an industry leading product is paying 10% below median wage for sales development and not allowing salary negotiation when their stated company strategy was to promote from within and retain talent.
