J'ai passé un entretien chez Dillard's (Cincinnati, OH)
Entretien
First, I called about my interest in procuring a position with the company in a different department than for what I ended up being hired. They put me in touch with a Manager and she told me to fill out the application online on dillards.com, which I did. I followed up a few days later and asked to speak to the same Manager. I was granted an in person interview. It was successful, and then I was hired for a different department than what I had originally had in mind, but that was okay. I just wanted to get my foot in the door. I was scheduled for in person Training, which was a general overview. There were 9 of us in my Training Class which was paid. Training was several hours a day for at least a week. Then when I started in the Shoe Department, there were specific Shoe Department training courses that were on the computer and my Manager in Shoes was excellent and she had a prepared folder of info for me, too. Unfortunately, she no longer works there.

Question 1
I can't remember specific questions now and this was before COVID, so the questions might not even be the same.
It was fast and easy. However I went in to men’s shoes and they said they didn’t have a position open but I could work in Ladies shoes. I did it since I had no choice . I didn’t really enjoy my brief time there as it was very competitive client stealing sales.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dillard's (Metairie, LA) en juil. 2018
Entretien
Applied on Wednesday, interviewed Thursday, got the job Friday. Wasn’t a typical interview with back and forth question and answers. She started off explaining the job and asked if I was interested and that was pretty much it. You could tell she just needed more bodies in her department and would hire pretty much anyone.
