I applied online and i have employee reference, i had interview on Friday with Dept Manager then he wanted me to get 2nd interview right away with Assistant Store Manager, Next day Assistant Store manager called me and she offered me a job, so i went to store to fill out form for background check. Tuesday, i got call and i can start my training. So far so good, as Dillards is always hiring.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
Why Dillards, tell me about yourself, tell me about your job experiences, simple basic questions.
Standard interview, quite short (20 minutes) for the first round. Asked about past experience, sales skills, expected pay, and my future goals at the company. Interviewers were very nice and welcoming, made the experience much less intimidating!
Not sure what to expect. When I spoke to the manager it felt very condescending and off putting. The interview was fine but they exaggerated the amount of commission associates can make and didn’t even give me a chance to agree to a job offer just assumed that I would take it. I don’t have very high hopes about how it will be working there. When I came in for my interview one associate didn’t even greet me like she did the last customer and the energy of the atmosphere just felt super dull and soulless. I need this job on my resume as a fashion business student for internships so I’ll push through but not at all optimistic about the work environment.
