      Absolutely awful experience. The company is lacking organization or basic courtesy to applicants. While I understand hiring tech talent can be difficult for non tech focused companies, the way they went about my interview process was horrendous. After doing a 1st interview over the phone with HR, everything went well and I was told to expect a second interview. This was for a management position for a new department handling reporting & data. A few hours later, the recruiter tells me everything went great but the position has been filled. There was obviously someone who had an offer already extended and they did not have the common courtesy to even make me aware that I was likely interviewing for a position already filled. They get back to me and tell me they still want to go forward with the position immediately below that. Even though I was frustrated with this the company seemed good to work with so I continued with the process. This second interview was also delayed several weeks because "HR was being reorganized". After the 2nd interview, I was told that there would be another major delay of several weeks but I was a "great fit" and they were "ready to go forward with an offer soon". During my 3rd interview, because of such the delay, I got to meet the person who had gotten the original position. While they seemed like a very nice person who understood quite a bit on the data side, they were not a software developer, despite a major part of this being overhauling and completely designing an API to serve their data from scratch. So they expect the person in the position below manager for this department to completely design an API without guidance, oversight, or help from their leadership. Unacceptable development practice for such a large company expanding so much. I was finally told I did not get the position June 28 after the process started May 8. During this time there was a complete lack of information with things constantly changing about the offer and what the job entailed. Despite having over 4 years experience managing data, fixing documents, creating reports, building APIs, and working closely with C-levels in a startup environment to get the data they needed to become profitable, I was told I did not have enough "experience visualizing data".
