Diageo has a long traineeship application process, but not unless any other big company does nowadays.
- You start with a letter, your CV and six extra questions they ask you to complete.
- Next is a video interview, which has taken the place of the telephone interview. You get around 10 questions for which you get a minute each to answer while you being recorded via your webcam. I think the video interview triggers unnecessary stress, and could be done in a different way. For examply by presending questions by email and letting the applications prepare their own video.

The reason I had a bad overall experience during the application process is because Diageo has cut out anything that is a bit personal. Emails are never send from a person but are always 'on the behalf of the team' so you never know who you're talking to. Before the assessment day there is no personal, and with that I mean even a personal email or telephone call, communication with someone from the company. This gives the place an unfriendly and stern image.

Why Diageo? Why HR? What are your leadership skills? Which Diageo drink are you? The video assignment asks you mostly future behavioural questions: what would you do if this and that happens.

It was an online process with multiple stages. I was confused as there were two separate roles, and midway through my interview which was al live recording, it asked me questions in French, even though I didn't apply for the french speaking role

It's a straightforward process although it has several rounds that make lengthy.
First step is to submit your CV on the online application form
Secondly is a pymetric game
Thirdly is the recorded interview answering 3 questions
Fourthly it is the questionnaire
I'm currently waiting for the video interview if I make it to this stage.

I was nervous byt the interview is still ongoing so hoping for the best
