I was contacted by an external recruiter on LinkedIn, and then I had a phone interview/screening with him, This moved me to the next round, which was a virtual meeting with a VP. The third round of interviews was meeting in person with that VP and the COO. I was then told by the recruiter I had an offer coming - the VP called me and negotiated/low balled an initial offer from the position's salary range, which was posted.
