Entretien
I applied for several positions with Delta and still have "under review" status in my profile. The very last position I applied for was for Ticketing/Gate Agent for the Summer Ready Reserve Program. I figured that since it was for the summer that if they wanted me they would be responding to my application a lot quicker than the "not so urgent" positions I applied for. So I submitted my online application on 3/30/2011 and received a phone interview the next day. I made sure that my profile and all my information was complete before submitting my app. So it seemed that I did well on the phone interview and was told someone will be in contact with me(that was 3/31/2011). I received an email on 5/17/2011 inviting me to a face to face interview. So I immediately called the 800 number and was told that the only time slot available for an interview was the next day at 3p(5/18/2011)..Keep in mind that I live in Atlanta and the interview was being held in New York....so I had less than 24 hours to figure out how I was gonna make this interview. I was told that if I did not schedule this interview time then I would have to be placed back in the system for the next available time slot...well I already knew that would never happen or it would be another 3 or 4 months before they would contact me again so I accepted the interview time and off i went to figure out how I was gonna get to NY the next day......skipping forward I made it to NY at 11a the next day with just enough time to shower get dressed and head back out to the interview. I made it 30 mins early and waited 1 hour to be seen along with 4 other people waiting to be interviewed...could you say nerve wrecking....
The interview went extremely smooth and interviewer was very pleasant and easy to talk to. I was told that they will be making their decisions pretty quickly and will be reaching out to everyone the following Monday to let them know if they got the job or not and how we will move forward in the training process if I was selected.......to be continued!!--Pray for me I need this job like yesterday..
Oh fyi--Prepare yourself accordingly ahead of time, they will ask for a copy of your HS dipolma or college degree, passport or birthcertificate,DL and SS card,be honest about all your moving violations in the past 5 years

It was rather basic but they are not concerned with customers and how you interact with them. Could be better but I don’t know I upper management has those concerns in mind

Simple and easy. Organised no confusion or time wasters. Got thru quickly. Everyone is really friendly and kind. But understand that the job is really not that easy. For people like me who are used to regular hours and need family time, this is not the best option for me.

Question 1
Give examples of times you have tackled difficult customers.
Relatively standard for the position. Asked about experience and how I would address certain situations. Average and what you would expect for a standard customer service role. Two total interviews lasting about 30 minutes each.
