I interviewed for a Data/AI Consultancy role in Geneva. Fairly slow interview process (2-3 months) consisting of 3-4 rounds.
Round 1: Interview w/ SC
A senior consultant in the firm (Zurich/Geneva/Basel). Asks behavioural questions and about your resume/CV. Tells you about the role & day-to-day.
Round 2: Technical Case Study w/ Senior Manager
Given a case study to complete in one hour about implementing a data platform/warehouse and Agentic AI platform for a hypothetical client. Focus on clarifying requirements and then draft systems design. Explain how you would explain “success” of this to a client. Crucial you are able to draw up diagrams on whiteboard quickly given 60mins.
Round 3: Behavioural/Cultural fit w/mini case study w/ Senior Manager
Another round with a senior manager asking about your past experience and a mini case study on how one would implement Agentic platform (eg: Gemini, CoPilot) for the SDLC and data lifecycles. Draw some whiteboard diagrams.
Round 4: Director Interview
Final interview and more informal. Understand your priorities and the types of things you are interested in and answering any questions about the firm. Discussing salary expectations and future start dates.
Offer letter after 1-2 weeks. If you have competing offers, you can negotiate or speed up the process by emailing HR.

“When you had a conflict, how did you resolve it?”. “Tell me about a time you made a mistake and how you handled it and ensured future prevention”
Given a case study to complete in one hour about implementing a data platform/warehouse and Agentic AI platform for a hypothetical client. What kind of architectural patterns would you use and why. How would you showcase progress if the client wants to see some preliminary results? (Hint: Consider creating MVP, get continous feedback, then confirm a final solution that satisfies all requirements)
The process was very structured, beginning with managers, before progressing to a final interview with the partner. The first stages were more analytical, with the final interview being less formal, where it appeared the partner was seeking to finalise the recruitment process.

Several rounds of interviews. Two rounds with a consulting director. One round with a technical director. Final round with a partner. Final negotiations with HR via email and phone call.

They asked a technical question about the software I was an expert in. It was simple enough to rule out anyone without experience, but not stump someone with intermediate knowledge.

It was very vague as only 3 questions were asked which was by BA who does not have QA knowledge.Infact he mentioned that I have good knowledge.despite that I didnt get selected which seems fishy and entire interview was done for formality
