Question 1
To solve a problem about making a unique identifier for all the products
A few days after my application, I was contacted by the recruiter to schedule an initial phone call. During the phone call, the recruiter asked basic questions regarding my background, why was I interested in the role and talked a bit about the company. Overall, I was very happy with what I heard from her regarding the company, its goals and the role in general.
The recruiter said that there would be two steps in the hiring process. A video technical interview and then a virtual on-site if I make it through the first round. The first round was a pretty standard round and I was asked a basic coding question with not much in it to be honest. The interviewer told me that I'd be hearing back in about 2-3 days. However, I wasn't contacted regarding the next steps or provided with any updates. I tried contacting the recruiter over the next couple of weeks. Later, I received a very generic email stating that they aren't moving forward with my candidacy after reviewing my coding test.
I am literally unsure as to what went wrong with the coding test because it was a pretty straight forward problem and the interviewer seemed to be happy with the solution. Also, if that was the case, why wasn't I contacted initially during the 3 weeks after the interview.
Overall, I am pretty disappointed with the hiring process at Deliverr. It believe that it is a very promising company but the feedback that they gave me doesn't really tell the truth.
