J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Deliveroo (Londres, Angleterre) en mars 2023
Entretien
I interviewed with the HR guy, applied through their website. He was sweet and walked me through the process of the interview. However, did not go through cause they were looking for someone to start immediately and I was studying.

Initial screening interview with HR. You need to explain your current and past experience and how it relates to the role you apply to, your motivation for the role and the company. It is important to come up with a basic story.
After you pass this stage, you receive a 4-hour case study with the instructions already sent with the email. The dataset will only be sent at the time you set for the case study. It asks you to analyse some data on the grocery business and come up with a slide deck responding to several questions. I would suggest to start early on the slide deck since 4 hours is not sufficient and you can already start to respond to some questions without any access to the dataset.
Here is the problematic part: after submitting the case study, without even a short 30-minute interview, I was told that my presentation is too generic and it seems that I don't know the business. This 'magical' business is essentially finding unemployed people who can ride a bike or motorcycle, partnering with restaurants or grocery stores, and serving people who are too lazy to cook like me. I would never use their grocery store deliveries since each product is priced at least 20-30% higher than in the store to support Deliveroo's magical and still unprofitable business.
In companies with proper recruitment processes, if you are asking for someone to spend 4 hours on your silly case study, you would at least give them a chance to express themselves in person.
Anyways, it was more of a practice interview for me since I didn't think about joining the company with the London's worst IPO experience. Good to see that I was not too wrong.
