Got the interview call through a recruiter. It took 2 days to schedule the interview. 1st round was telephonic. The interviewer was trying to what candidate worked on throughout the career and asking questions on the topics which was mentioned in the resume. I clearly mentioned that JD and my experience do not fit for the profile but the interviewer was convinced with my answers and told me that there are other JD available for network security, deep packet inspection. The next day f2f was scheduled. It was supposed to be a coding round and asked to carry a laptop so that the candidate can write some code. It was pretty much clear that this time interviewer did not look into the resume and asking questions from the domain he worked/working on. The interviewer was looking for the answers he likes to hear, even if you propose alternate solutions may not be accepted during the interview. I did not even switch on my laptop and it supposed to be a coding round. It was one and half hour session and end of it I gave up. It was a waste of time for serious candidates who are looking for jobs. Throughout the process from recruiter to f2f is full of miscommunication. Whoever is going for an interview make sure that your resume and work area is clear to the interviewers.
