I applied to Dayton Freight on Indeed and was contacted about 3 weeks after submitting my credentials. I was brought in for an interview with a Customer Service Manager/Director. We spoke for almost 2 hours and things went well. I was told I'd be contacted for a second interview. I didn't hear from anyone for almost 2 weeks. Then, I got an email from another Manager/Director and she had me come in for another 2 hours, and toward the end of the interview was handing me a paper on the company's benefits and told me she had to leave town for a week but would contact me when she got back. I never heard from anyone at Dayton Freight ever again. It has been a month. I found gainful employment elsewhere so I decided to follow up, as a courtesy, to withdraw my name from candidacy. I emailed both managers and was told they had some unexpected moving around of people in the company causing delays and they wished me well. No one thanked me for my time, explained if I was still being considered, nothing. I was dropped and left with no word. I am sure they are a great company if you interview and get hired by responsive and responsible employees. Not even an apology from them? Wow.
