      Entretien pour Business Analyst

      26 févr. 2010
      Employé (anonyme)
      Offre acceptée
      Expérience négative
      Entretien moyen

      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Dayforce en mars 2008

      Entretien

Two phone interviews: One from the Ceridian recruiter who read off a script and the second with a district manager. One in person interview with the person who would become my boss. They had an open house where you actually went to the location you would work at. Nothing special, no group interview or anything like that. Looking back, I should have gone with my first impression and declined the offer as they were very misleading about a lot of things: 1. The Job Description: On the actual ad, the position was listed a Business Analyst for their implementation team. However, after we were hired; we found out that they had combined the role with another position (meaning more work) and that we were now implementation consultants. This was incredibly dishonest as I negotiated my salary based on the expectation that my role would only be of a Business Analyst. 2. Paid Time Off Blackout: They never told anyone this (I actually found this out through a current employee) but Ceridian enforces a Paid Time Off Blackout from the first week of December through Martin Luther King Weekend. During this time, you are not to take vacation. If I knew this I would've rejected the job as well.

One or two phone screenings with a recruiter and three to four interviews with leaders. Everyone was nice to work with. I was asked to go on-site to the Minneapolis office to meet one leader in person.

      Entretien

First impression was terrible, I feel disrespected towards, complete waste of my time. The recruiter did not prepare any questions to ask me. The recruiter did not take the time to get to know me or ask anything about my experience or how I would contribute to the company. I basically led the interview by asking question about the company and walking the recruiter through my resume so the recruiter would know how to probe the next question. Felt like they probably already had someone in mind, if so then why bother scheduling an interview? It was not an equal or a fair chance of employment.

      Entretien

I was contacted initially by a very polite HR person though a phone screening interview . He seemed happy with my profile and told me that he was going to send my application to the hiring manager. The interview with the hiring manager was scheduled over the phone as he was working remotely. He opened with a monologue about the company, the department , the job etc. A person already working for them would understand but for an outsider seeking a job this information was almost confusing. The role was advertised as BA and the first question was about sql and the second regarding data objects. After questioning I understood that basically they were asking for someone to be responsible for the communication between the real BA and some developers team located on an island in Indian ocean. After a few days I received a call from another person telling me that they were going to pursue other candidates.

      Question 1

Too techy for BA role . SQL ? Data objects ? experience in software engineering ?
