I have background in data privacy and cybersecurity and applied for the role. Heard back from recruiter 4 days later Had initial interview with recruiter - she moved me on to hiring manager. Spoke with Hiring Manager for 45 min. Generally pleasant, however was very put off in the last 10 minutes or so. I like to ask what concerns there are with moving me forward as a candidate and hiring manager visibly rolled her eyes and sighed before answering. Her main concern was attributed to my previous experience incorporating trials into the sales cycle. We agreed next steps would be to speak with their head of solutions engineering, so I could better understand why a SaaS company doesn’t offer trials, especially in a such competitive landscape. Instead, the recruiter sent the mock sales presentation instructions to me, and the agreed upon next steps seemed to be dismissed. If you are a seasoned seller in the data privacy space, or have been in a SaaS seller for 5+ years, I’d recommend taking a look at sales leaderships backgrounds and reconsider. I declined moving forward in the interview process.

Overall good experience and standard interview. However there was some miscommunication that was not helpful and led to a slight distaste. It seems like they've made some new hirings since that time.
