Had an initial interview as set up by my recruiter. The interviewer did not have great interviewing skills and had the personality of a potato, which unfortunately meant I was unable to carry on a conversation without me being the only one speaking. The one sidedness of the interview very negatively impacted me receiving a follow up interview. I was notified upon following up (three times) the next week that they chose a “better candidate.” ALL questions were listed at the beginning of the interview and I was expected to answer in a single paragraph to a series of questions rather than having a conversation.

I had a 20 minute call with their headhunter, who ended up setting a meeting up with a Technical Manager. We clicked and I had a second interview which was also very good. The third and last one, did not go as well, and I actually said no thanks but Darktrace really came around apologized for the miscommunication and I ended up giving them a do-over in the third interview, which I haven't regretted ever since.
